Our client is considered to be one of the top women’s wholesale suppliers in the UK. They offer a diversity of women’s clothing products ranging from dresses, co-ords, play-suits, jumpsuits and swimwear. Their products are versatile with floral prints and strive to be on trend. Furthermore, their customer base consists of high street fashion stores and also independent clothing retailers.

We are looking for ambitious and energetic, experienced Bilingual Chinese TEXTILE TECHNICIAN (Chinese speaking). Ideally, you will have worked directly within the textile production industry and have knowledge and understanding of textile products (knitting/Braiding/Weaving)

This is an ideal opportunity with long term prospects for you if you are aspirational regarding development, as there is potential to move into management, supervising other technicians, or specializing in areas such as quality control, technical training, or R & D.

Responsibilities

Participate in the implementation of scheduled preventive maintenance for production machinery and equipment
Troubleshoot and identify a problem on malfunctioning or broken-down machines
Replace defective/damaged parts with repaired or brand new ones
Repair, modify or fabricate parts with lathe, mill, drill press, other power tools and instruments
Procure parts and order/purchase replacement parts
Analyze and study engineering specifications and manufacturer’s manual to determine correct installation and operation procedures for new machinery
Setup and prepare Ink-Jet machine, Laser Coding machine or Labeling machine for routine production at assembly lines
Required College Diploma or similar degree
Mechanical Aptitude
Experience with packaging equipment will be a strong bonus
Production line experience preferred

Bilingual language abilities (Mandarin and English)
