Our client is a British fashion brand. Their products are placed between high fashion/formal wear and strive to combine traditional and modern fashion into one. Having a ‘’classic with a twist’’ brand. They are located throughout the globe in various countries which include: USA, China, Hong Kong, Italy, South Africa and many more. They are presently looking for a candidate who has a confident approach in working with team members and other departments to identify/develop new business opportunities in Hong Kong and China.
We are seeking a candidate which has a strong connection and experience to China market, specifically the fashion industry. You will be required to have a high level of Mandarin and English communication skills as well as customer service and multitasking skills. Experience in managing fashion accounts in Chinese markets would be beneficial, however, it is not essential. We would recommend you have experience working a retail role in a luxury brand. Our client is overall, looking for a candidate who is passionate about the fashion industry and is ready to face a challenging role.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Liaise with customers from various locations and strive to maintain a coherent brand presentation and strategic alignment.
Assist the Head of Franchise to develop all aspects of business and to achieve the seasonal set sales targets.
Be informed about the products in collections on a seasonal basis.
Develop and maintain relationships with customers, internal departments and team.
Support Head of Franchise in managing retails shops in the regions operated under MSA agreement to achieve the set KPIs.
To research and provide detailed market research on the profile of key retailers and retail property development in China.
Work with team to arrange seasonal purchasing appointments for the range of client regions.
Ensure the all parties are kept up to date regarding projects.
Follow up with purchasing appointments on an individual basis of clients.
Learn software systems as Prima and Omnivue.
Assist submitting monthly sales reports on each region.
Prepare a training guide and programs seasonally.
Manage feedback from customers/clients and ensure feedback is given to all relevant departments.
Visit each market as required to undertake store visits, deliver product and offer brand training.
Build a close rapport with store staff to guide them into following brand standards and quality.
Produce a report from visits and follow up on any actions required.
Minimum 2.1 Degree in Fashion Business, Business, Economics, Chinese Culture or other related degrees.
Have good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin both written/verbal communication
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Have an interest in fashion.
More than 2 years’ experience in managing fashion accounts in Chinese markets (beneficial, not essential).
Have a network of fashion contacts in China
Previous experience in the luxury fashion industry.
Ability to produce reports and provide data analysis to a high standard.
Good problem resolution and multitasking skills.
Must be highly organized and self-motivated.
Must be able to work in a pressurized and fast-paced environment.
Cultural sensitivity and customer service skills are necessary.
Should be flexible as to working hours and able to travel for business.
