The Compliance Investigator (London) will support the Amazon Payments Europe business. As such, he or she will help the business comply with applicable regulations with relevant company policies and procedures related to anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML/CTF), as well as consumer protection and privacy. The Compliance Investigator will work closely with the Amazon Payments Europe Compliance Officer and Transaction Risk Management Services (TRMS) team to manage operational compliance issues.
Area of Responsibility
- Regulatory compliance operational support for Amazon Payments Europe.
Responsibilities include
To plan and coordinate operational activities necessary for compliance, the CI is responsible for the following tasks, knowledge, skills and other characteristics:
• Contact for AML/CFT Compliance Functions related to customer identification and detection of suspicious activity
• Contact for policy enforcement and escalation to Compliance Officer
• Train operations personnel on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for resolving all items that come through the TRMS compliance work flows
• Maintain quality assurance controls on AML Compliance Functions
• Assist with AML Training for new hires, for targeted training to the Investigations team, and as regulations are updated
• Coordinate with TRMS and Compliance Officer to maintain current and relevant process documentation for related SOPs
• Complete suspicious activity investigations and reports in conformance with applicable regulatory guidelines, including reporting deadlines, content requirements and dollar amount thresholds.
Responsibilities:
• The ideal candidate for the Compliance Investigator position will have a college degree and hands-on experience in money transfer risk management or anti-money laundering compliance operations in a financial services environment.
• Internal candidates should have a working knowledge of either Amazon.com risk systems or external payments products.
• Excellent written and spoken Mandarin Chinese and English skills and an ability to compose grammatically correct, concise and accurate written responses.
